Izuchukwu Moses Okafor is an accountant and financial management professional with experience in public finance, internal audit, financial operations and risk management.

Before becoming Commissioner for Finance, he served as Senior Special Assistant to Governor Soludo on Finance and Audit and previously worked at the Central Bank of Nigeria. At the CBN, he served as Senior Supervisor in Internal Audit and later as Assistant Manager and Deputy Manager in Financial Operations and Audit.

He holds a BSc in Accountancy from the University of Abuja and an Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business. He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a Certified Strategic Professional.
